The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Victoria is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world, providing extensive primary health care and 24-hour emergency service to people over an area of 7.69 million square kilometres.

Our mission is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Australia.

Each year, the RFDS Victoria team come into contact with over 94,000 patients throughout the state, which includes primary health care transport by air or on the road. We strive to provide equal access to health care for all Victorians, regardless of their location.

The RFDS helps someone every 2 minutes every day. Last year alone, we flew 26,863,558 km, which is equivalent to over 34 trips to the moon and back. We are continuing to bring necessary and critical health services to those outside of metro areas, including dental care, mental health support, and other non-emergency health services.
